Toyota: The Letter
This is a nice spot showing the longevity of the Toyota cars through how many different owners it will go through. In this Toyota commercial, a man finds a letter tucked in between the backseat and the letter beings its adventure from one previous owner to another. Eventually, the letter is passed back to the original owner who we think is the elderly lady. However, she is the wife of the letter’s author and the original owner. We see her walk to the original owner who is an elderly man and she throws the love letter (I assume) at him.
Oops! Should’ve remembered to check the car before selling it or trading it in for a new one! This spot by Saatchi & Saatchi is pretty funny and is effective in showing the endurance of Toyota cars. However, how did the car go through so many owners and not one saw the obvious letter sticking out from the backseat? Ah well, the commercial was still funny even if it is a little bit unbelievable.
